Mandy asks…
What is the best method for attaining washboard abs?
Apply this question to these conditions.
1. The formation of abs are visible but only 4.
2. I am a swimmer.

TJ Marcus answers:
It’s the fat loss and nutrition that is the secret to six pack and ripped abs. Lowering your body fat via nutrition and your swimming will show your abs naturally. Maintaining it requires regular crunches, not the other way round. That is, you don’t do abs exercises to get ripped abs. It’s the nutrition.

Michael asks…
Why would I guy come up to you the first time and mention he had washboard abs?
If a coworker mentions to you that he is very athletic and has washboard abs and hardly even knows you is he more than likely hitting on you or is he just proud of his body?

Laura asks…
How to get those stunning washboard abs?
I’ve been reading up on it. And many sites had said that before you begin to work on your abs, first you must eliminate the “evil fat” on them. The fat isn’t a HUGE problem, but I will need to drop some pounds before they will show. How do I go about doing this, my two main spots that I would like to lose from being my stomach area, and my thighs. Although, this question relating to my stomach. So what are good toning/weight-losing exercies for your stomach area? (Mainly lower abs, and hip area.)

TJ Marcus answers:
There are no “toning exercises” for the stomach; you can only go for an overall reduction is fat. The face goes first; the stomach last (the reverse order in which you put it on). Diet and exercise helps you lose fat and maintain muscle and conditioning. Muscle weighs more than fat; so you can lose fat, look better, and not actually “lose weight”. Once the fat is gone in those areas, you can concentrate (more) on muscle building. You should consume adequate amounts of water; however, too much salt can cause water retention which reduces muscle “definition”. Proper posture also helps; there’s something to be said for walking, and “sucking in that gut”.
